# Choose Which Products Offer Try-On

> Enable virtual try-on on your whole catalog or on specific collections and products, exclude items, and fine-tune the AI images per product.

The try-on button only appears on products where try-on is enabled. You control this from **Manage** in the Genlook app, on a page called **Try-on visibility**. There are two modes:

* **All products (Recommended)**: every product in your catalog offers try-on, and you exclude the exceptions. New products are covered automatically the moment you publish them.
* **Custom selection**: you enable specific collections and products, and nothing else shows the button.

<Tip>
  Start with **All products**. Shoppers try on items you would not have predicted, and every enabled product is another chance to convert. Use exclusions for the products where try-on does not make sense (gift cards, accessories the AI cannot render, and so on).
</Tip>

## All products mode

Turn on **All products** and the whole catalog is live. To carve out exceptions, open the **Excluded** tab and use **Exclude products** or **Exclude collections**. Excluding a collection hides the button on every product in it, including products added to it later.

## Custom selection mode

Switch to **Custom selection** and use the **Collections** and **Products** tabs:

* **Add collections** enables every product in a collection, including products you add to it later.
* **Add products** enables individual items.
* The **Excluded** tab removes individual products from an otherwise enabled collection.

Each row shows a status badge when something needs attention, for example a product that is **Unavailable** on your storefront, or an item that is **Also excluded** so the exclusion wins.

<Note>
  Exclusions always take priority. A product that is excluded (directly or through a collection) never shows the button, even if it is also enabled elsewhere.
</Note>

## Per-product AI image settings

The AI generates try-ons from your product images. For most products the defaults work out of the box, but each product row has an **Advanced settings** link where you can fine-tune what the AI uses:

* **Default AI try-on image**: pick which product image the AI works from, if the main image is not the best garment shot. A clean, front-facing photo of the garment gives the best results.
* **Front & back images**: give the AI a dedicated front and back view of the garment, so shoppers can try on both sides.
* **Variant-specific images**: assign a different try-on image per variant (for example one per colorway), so a shopper trying on the red variant sees the red garment.

All of these pick from the product's existing media. You never need to upload separate assets or re-shoot your catalog.

## Where visibility applies

The same enablement drives every surface: the button on your product pages, [in-store QR codes](/docs/virtual-tryon/retail), and try-ons started through the [SDK and API](/docs/virtual-tryon/sdk). Disabling a product turns it off everywhere at once.

On WooCommerce and PrestaShop the same controls live under **Genlook → Manage** in your site's admin, with categories in place of collections.
