# In-Store Try-On with QR Codes

> Print a QR code per product so shoppers in your physical store can scan and virtually try on garments on their own phone, with no app install.

Genlook works in your physical store too. The **In-store try-on** page in the Genlook app generates a **QR code for each product**. A shopper scans it with their phone camera, lands on a clean mobile try-on page, and sees the garment on themselves before queueing for a fitting room. No app install, no account, nothing to deploy in-store beyond the printed code.

Use it on hang tags, shelf signage, fitting-room displays, or window displays for closed hours.

## Set it up

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose the pieces">
    In the Genlook app, open **In-store try-on** (from the home page card) and click **Add products** to pick the products you want QR codes for. Each gets its own code.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Style and print">
    Use **QR style** to make the codes yours: they pick up your logo (the one from your [watermark settings](/docs/virtual-tryon/app/tryon-settings#watermark)) and your widget accent color. Then print codes individually, or hit **Print all** for a ready-to-cut sheet of every code.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Place them and watch">
    Put the codes where shoppers hesitate: next to the garment, at the fitting-room queue, in the window. The **In-store performance** panel on the same page shows daily scans-to-try-ons and the most tried-on products over the last 30 days.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What shoppers see

Scanning opens a minimal, mobile-first try-on page for that product:

1. They take a photo or upload one from their gallery.
2. The AI generates the try-on, typically in 10 to 20 seconds.
3. They see the result, can save it, and can tap through to the product on your online store to buy.

The page shows your store name and the product title, and stays deliberately minimal so it loads fast on store Wi-Fi and mobile data.

## Frequently asked questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do in-store try-ons count towards my plan?">

  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do printed QR codes expire?">
    No. A product's QR code keeps working as long as try-on is enabled for that product, so you can print once and keep the signage up.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I customize the try-on landing page?">
    The QR codes themselves are customizable (logo and color). The landing page is intentionally minimal to keep the in-store mobile experience fast; it displays your store name and the product title automatically.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there one QR code for my whole store?">
    A store-wide QR code, where shoppers scan once and pick any product, is coming soon. Today each product has its own code.
