We're excited to announce a significant improvement to our image processing pipeline: Smart Auto-Cropping.
One of the challenges with user-uploaded photos is the variability in framing. Customers might upload landscape photos, selfies with too much background, or images where they are not centered. This can sometimes confuse the AI model or result in lower-resolution try-ons because the subject occupies only a small part of the frame.
How It Works
Our new smart cropping system automatically detects the user in the uploaded photo and intelligently crops the image to center them and optimize the framing for our virtual try-on model.
Key Benefits:
- Higher Quality Results: By zooming in on the subject, we ensure the AI model works with the maximum available resolution for the person and the garment.
- Better Landscape Support: Photos taken in landscape mode (often from webcams or improperly rotated phone images) are now automatically handled to focus on the person.
- Consistent Experience: Regardless of how the photo was taken, the output is now more consistent and professional-looking.
This update happens automatically in the background—no action is required from you or your customers. You should notice an immediate improvement in the consistency and quality of generated images.
