Getting Started

Welcome to Genlook, the AI-powered virtual try-on and content generation solution for Shopify stores. Boost your conversion rates with virtual try-on and create stunning product photos with Genlook Studio.

Installation​

Installing Genlook on your Shopify store is quick and easy:

  1. Visit the Shopify App Store
    Go to Genlook on Shopify App Store and click Add app

  2. Install the app
    You'll be redirected to your Shopify admin to approve the installation

  3. Configure the app
    Once installed, you'll land on the Genlook dashboard where you can enable the virtual try-on feature

Quick Setup​

Step 1: Enable Products​

Choose which products will have the virtual try-on feature. We recommend enabling by collection for the fastest setup:

  • By Collection: Enable Genlook for entire collections at once (Recommended)
  • By Product: You can also enable specific products individually if needed
tip

Genlook works best with apparel like dresses, tops, shirts, t-shirts, and jackets. Products with clear images on plain backgrounds deliver the best results.

Step 2: Add the Widget to Your Theme​

The Genlook button is added via a Shopify app embed:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. Navigate to App embeds in the theme editor
  4. Enable the Genlook Virtual Try-On app embed
  5. Save your changes

The try-on button will now appear on all enabled product pages.

Step 3: Test It Out​

Visit one of your enabled product pages and test the virtual try-on:

  1. Click the Try it on button
  2. Upload a photo (a mirror selfie works best!)
  3. See the AI-generated result in seconds
