Genlook isn't just a visual tool—it's a lead generation engine. You can configure the app to collect customer emails during the try-on process, helping you grow your marketing list.

Email Collection Settings

You can customize when and how the app asks for an email address:

  • Soft Gate: Ask for an email after a certain number of generations (e.g., 2), but allow the user to skip.
  • Hard Gate: Require an email to continue generating images after a set limit (e.g., 5).

To configure this, go to Settings > General in your Genlook dashboard.

Shopify Customer Segments

All emails collected through Genlook are automatically synced to your Shopify Admin.

We automatically create a Customer Segment named Genlook Users (or similar). This allows you to easily view all customers who have interacted with the app.

Marketing Integration

Since the data is native to Shopify, you can easily integrate with your favorite marketing tools:

Klaviyo

If you use Klaviyo, you can target the segment created by Genlook.

  1. Sync your Shopify Segments with Klaviyo.
  2. Create a flow or campaign targeting the Genlook Users segment.
  3. Send personalized emails (e.g., "Did you like how you looked in our collection?").

Shopify Email

You can also use Shopify's built-in email tool to send campaigns directly to the Genlook segment.

Privacy & GDPR

Genlook is designed with privacy in mind. When users provide their email, they are opting in to use the service. Ensure your store's privacy policy covers data collection for marketing purposes.
